One false step won’t shake me
I have plenty to lose but I have more to gain.
One false move won’t break me,
Or make me stray from the path I’ve worked so hard to carve.
One lost cause won’t sway me,
Though I’ll think about it every time i want to go back.
One closed door won’t phase me;
If we don’t have they key we can knock it down.
Is it written in stone
that we all end up alone?
Turning on each other is a matter of time
Or is it I who is bitter and blind?
There were some by my side
who turned themselves into something despised
With crude snipes they barely disguised
Bring hate to the table and the devil will rise.
The only thing they ever taught
Was that positivity has to be sought.
The only thing I ever learnt
Was that chasing a dream can still get you burnt.
So I can't be less than grateful or throw it all away on...
One false step won’t shake me
I have plenty to lose but I have more to gain.
One false move won’t break me,
Or make me stray from the path I’ve worked so hard to carve.
One lost cause won’t sway me,
Though I’ll think about it every time i want to go back.
One closed door won’t phase me;
If we don’t have the key we can knock it down,
So don’t come around
With intoxicating words to make me drown
The world is a small town
Karma can wait and you will be found.
Sometimes i think back to a tall pine against a clear sky, with the bluest of blues and the highest of highs.
Down below are watchful eyes, too afraid of broken ties;
Fearful minds hiding shameful lies.
One false step won’t shake me
One false move won’t break me
One lost cause won’t sway me
One closed door won’t phase me
One false step won’t shake me
I have plenty to lose but I have more to gain.
One false move won’t break me,
Or make me stray from the path i’ve worked so hard to carve.
One lost cause won’t sway me,
Though I’ll think about it every time i want to go back.
One closed door won’t phase me;
If we don’t have the key we can knock it down.
